Act IV - Things Fall Apart

As a part of our Act IV- Things Fall Apart musings, we took a look specifically at how Laertes is used as a foil for Hamlet.

To do this we used a Venn Diagram which is available on PDF above, which outlined the major differences and similarities between Laertes and Hamlet at this point in the play.

With this foil, Shakespeare is pointing out the ineffectiveness of Hamlet's attempts at revenge. We also notice the damage his temporizing produces for everyone in the story.
